Bad Day L.A

 

 

American McGee is a Game developer, who in the past few years has brought new inspiration,imagination and dedication that hasn't been seen in a long time. His newest project, Bad Day L.A, is the first in a partnership with Enlight studios.

Anthony Williams, a homeless man who gave up the privileged life as a successful Hollywood Agent, given up on the world and himself as well. Players will be thrust in to the game, as L.A looks at one heck of a bad day. Events and actions, featured over ten levels, range from typical earthquakes and tsunami, to mexican invasion and pedestrians idly talking on cell phones as people run by on fire, or zombies swarm amongst racial rioting. A game aspiring for greatness with over 120 interactive, and unique characters, including Transvestites, A middle class white kid, and a Latino gardner with chainsaws. Some interactions are positive, if bizarre, like clearing a path through a crowed using a puking child. Some may be negative, such as maybe talking a helicopter pilot in to taking you and others to safety admists a meteor shower, only to have you crash in a burning section of the city. A third person action game that will put you in to a horrific situation, but in a surreal and amusing way. BDLA's unique look is brought to us by the wife-husband team of Kozyndan whos stylized "flat-cell" style has some thinking of the emergency illustrations of an airline pamphlet. Will such a stylized look deter or attract people? We won't know until the games release, which is slated for some time 2006.
